The hatched region represents the period before the start of the GOSAT data stream. Red points in the inset represent CONTRAIL samples which were used to construct this plot, whereas blue dots represent surrounding samples which were not used. Red: Surface and GOSAT data are used in the inversion. Green: only surface data were used in the inversion.
